So, I’ve been reading Penny Arcade lately. There is this man named Jack Thompson. Basically, this guy is going about trying to systematically destroy video games. He claims that 2 teenagers "religiously trained on how to kill cops in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. What. A. Fucking. Moron. Seriously. I don’t know if any of you have played the GTA series... but basically, you kill everyone and everything if you want. So, this guy is claiming these kids played Vice City with intentions on how to properly kill cops. I doubt the guy has even played it. If he did, h would fucking know training on Vice City to kill people is possibly the most retarded thing anyone has ever dreamed up. What are the kids going to do, run out with a PS2 controller? Also, I wasn’t ignoring anyone on AIM today; I was napping in preparation for the all-nighter going on. My roommate and I are going to burn a second blunt and he’s going to read some book. Last night we burned one, and my god. Those things fuck your night up so hardcore. I was stoned for a good 5 hours. Then when it was wearing off, my roommate let me smoke the shake left from him cutting his ounce into dimes. I also got all the hairs that dropped from it. It was the single strongest hit of my life.

Lately, I've been surrounded by people who don’t really have any passions. No... interests... no wants... nothing other than to hang out with the same people they've been hanging out with, doing the same things they've done for years. I don’t honestly think I can take another year of this. 90% of the people here are so ignorant to everything. They... don't like, or like o think about stuff they haven’t known their whole life. I’m not saying their racist.. Or homophobes. I'm saying... if they haven’t ever seen it, or dealt with it at least 15 times they hate it, and don’t understand it at all. A prime example of this was today, I was talking to a friend of mine. We were talking about a very erratic kid who has a picture of him and a black kid holding a bottle of uncle jack. I said, I wonder what he’s like high. The other person says "you would" as if because I occasionally smoke weed, that makes me a druggie, and apparently that’s all I think about. The conversation went further to me wondering why kids in winder who smoked weed were druggies. There isn’t a middle ground there. You smoke week and do heroin, or you don’t at all. I was comparing it to mars, and how pretty much everyone did except the band kids, and Jesus freaks. The other person responds with this bitchy ass "Weed is bad, and I don’t care who smokes it, because if they do, they are idiots."
Its shit like that, that just irks me to no end. I don’t normally write in this thing, but I have no where else to put this.
Basically, I can’t stand it when people don’t want to learn. Someone, who is remotely seeks knowledge would have discussed the reasons behind why winder and mars were so different. A ignorant person, generally, just doesn’t want to learn about it because its out of their comfort zone.
I have to get out of Western PA, simple as that. I need to go somewhere with people from all over the country. Not just one area who, most likely, have been there their entire lives. |
